Derrick Coleman didn\u2019t listen to what other people said, and has just reached the pinnacle of his profession, while wearing hearing aids.<\/p>\n<p>Derrick Coleman, football player for the Seattle Seahawks, helped his team win the Superbowl in 2014.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nfl\/playoffs\/2013\/story\/_\/id\/10372203\/super-bowl-xlviii-deafness-deter-seattle-derrick-coleman\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Watch this ESPN interview<\/a>\u00a0to see the challenges he faced growing up with hearing aids and trying to break in to the NFL. Everytime someone said he couldn\u2019t do something because of his hearing loss, he used it as an incentive.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>His response was to ignore anyone who was rude or simply turn the volume down on his hearing aids. \u201cThat\u2019s the one good thing about having \u2019em,\u201d Coleman says. \u201cYou guys have to actually listen when somebody\u2019s talking.
